Sherman gets National Wrestling Hall of Fame call

Marty Sherman has dedicated more than four decades to high school wrestling.

Today, that work will be recognized when the Saratoga High School graduate is inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, through its New York chapter in a ceremony in Syracuse.

“It’s certainly humbling and a great honor for people to have recognized the contributions I’ve made,” said Sherman, who now resides in Queensbury.

Sherman graduated from Saratoga in 1961 and from Ithaca College, where he was a physical education and hygiene major, in January 1966.
